Yumee Song is a ceramic artist whose hand-formed functional pieces bring a sense of grounding and quiet beauty into every corner of the home. Born into a Korean-American family and raised on the vibrant, sun-drenched island of Guam, Yumee later transitioned to the energy of New York City, which she has called home for most of her life. This unique trajectory—from the expansive horizons of the Pacific to the dense architectural rhythms of Manhattan—deeply informs her relationship with form, texture, and space.

Yumee’s formal journey into visual expression began at the University of Virginia, where she studied art and refined her eye for composition, history, and design. Today, her practice focuses entirely on ceramics made by hand, transforming raw clay into tactile everyday objects that sit at the intersection of heritage, fine art, and functional design.
